Art and Latin

Today, I am a bit bored. My chores revolved around going to the bank to deposit a check, and eating lunch. My commissions are done for the moment and I am waiting on other people for information, so I don’t have anything to do…
I feel a bit weird not having a deadline or a project that is pressing on me. It is just me and my cats and my Apple TV playing my bloated playlist. I have 3.7 days worth of music in my “music I chill to” playlist and 14.8 days in my “music I work to” playlist. I like to dance and sing while I work and… well work.
I just need to find someone to come and dance and sing with me. I am a terrible singer, but I don’t care. My cats like me to sing and they rarely complain.
Anyway, I was thinking about pulling out my Carbothellos or gouache and painting a bit. I like the artistic nature of the human form, more specifically, the beauty of women. But, since I left school, it has been a bit difficult to find models. Most models only want photography, I cannot blame them, its not like they can put a painting in a portfolio and traditional art may take days. And you cannot just go up to a bella and ask her if you can paint her. You will seem like one of those creepy guys that hangs out just outside the clubs waiting to give the drunk ladies “a ride home.”
Hmmm… seems I have a dilemma on my hands. Stay bored or find someone to paint. (I know who I really want to paint, I just don’t have the nerve to ask… :\ ) So that leaves me here listening to Muse, contemplating my choices.
Oh and on a side note, I am bored with my ‘day in history’, so I am going to start quoting latin instead. I started learning it way back in school, and I think I will maybe pick up where I left off, so enjoy the verses.
Assiduus usus uni rei deditus et ingenium et artem saepe vincit
Constant practice devoted to one subject often outdues both intelligence and skill.
