Pears… my favotite fruit

Wow, its been almost a month since the last time I updated my journal. I guess I have been a little busy. Our most recent project was pitched to a group of investors and analysts on Friday. It looks like all of our hard work will be paying off. Now The REAL hard work begins. I am excited though. It will revolutionize the Internet and change the way people interact with information and connect with other people. Now I just have to assemble a team of top developers and creatives to continue what I have been producing for the last two years and make it a reality.
I just need to take each week day by day now. The stress and work load is killing me though. I work about 17 to 18 hours a day and sometimes even pull 24 hour shifts just to meet arbitrary deadlines we have set internally. I am really looking forward to a couple of days off.
I feel that every healthy person needs someone they can trust implicitly to emote to, especially when they are dragging so much behind them. So, every Monday and Friday I wake up early and go visit with my psychologist. I don’t want to burden everyone around me and I am a really relaxed guy. That is what people expect. If people see me stressed and anxious they get stressed and anxious. Instead, I try to emit a sense of calm and collectedness. I find more gets accomplished that way. I was taught that a leader should give strength to those that around oneself.
Anyway, on a lighter note, I was able to go to a Major League Soccer game on Saturday. I am a HUGE Real Salt Lake fan. It was a really fun game until a little over four minutes were added to the clock for overage. For those who don’t know, soccer does not stop. If the ref decides that an unfair amount of time has been spent on things like injuries then time will be added to the end of the game, but the game keeps moving. But back to the story. About 20 seconds to the end, FC Dallas, whom we were playing, touched the ball as it was going out. The score was 2 all and Real Salt Lake would have received a corner kick with a very good setup. But the ref called it out on RSL… It was very disappointing. Who knows who would have won, but the refs in the MLS are very biased against RSL. It is sometimes sad to watch. But I cannot complain too much, the tickets were free and the seats were great seats. My best friend scored them for us, his dad owns the team so once in a while we get the opportunity to go.
It really has been a good weekend. I have to go in and see what the deal is with my back today. I broke it a year ago last February snowboarding. They are going to run a few more MRIs and CT scans to see why things are not healing. In the midst of the tests on my spine, the Doctors also found something that looks like lymphoma, I hope it is not. They have been scanning and testing for that now for six months. I really wish they could tell me something and at least put my mind to ease. However, I am sure I am not going to die, so I guess they will just have to fix me.
Have a very nice week! Keep smiling. And eat a pear, I am.
